Bank Street Bingo Hall

Bank Street Arts is an excellent contemporary arts centre that exhibits work by great up and coming artists. I have been there as a visitor and also worked with them as a professional and have always been happy to work with them. All kinds of work from painting and drawing, photography and video to theatre and performance has taken place there. Until we open in the Spring, you can join our friends over at the Bank Street Winter Market for fresh seasonal produce, meat, fish and poultry, farm fresh eggs and much more! Vendors will be set up outside of the Bingo Hall on Bank Street (across the street from the Kalamazoo Farmers Market) each Saturday from 8am-12pm. De Luxe Bingo Background And History

The De Luxe on Bank Street was one of Lochgelly’s two cinemas, the other being the Opera House/Cinema on Main Street. After the cinema’s closure it became the Enterprise Social Club which had bingo as one of it’s main activities.

The club’s closure circa 1992 left Lochgelly without Bingo, and the venue’s transformation into a snooker hall, “The Masters Centre”, didn’t last long either, and the hall closed ion the late 1990s.

We are not sure why the cinema or the bingo hall closed, but to our knowledge the premises currently serve as a builder’s merchants.

Date Of Club Closure: Circa 1992
